This site has been designed with the new camera buyer in mind, and as such contains detailed product reviews, advice and comparisons specifically about pink digital cameras. It's critical to understand that no two cameras are alike and that there are many features to consider before laying down your hard earned cash. That being said, there are a few noteworthy features and rules to follow when choosing a new camera. The worst thing you can do is to purchase a camera that doesn't meet your needs. This site will help to steer you in the right direction.

Choosing a Pink Digital Camera

A simple search on Amazon or at your local electronics retailer will yield hundreds of results for digital cameras. While a specific search for pink digital cameras will yield fewer results, choosing the perfect camera for your individual situation can still be somewhat difficult. To make the decision easier, it’s important to consider a few basics:

What specifically will your camera be used for – consider whether you will be using it simply to take photos of family and friends or whether you might use it to produce professional style prints. For those looking to capture family moments it’s likely that a simple point-and-shoot style camera will be sufficient, while those looking for something extra may want to look into an advanced point-and-shoot camera or even a single lens reflex (SLR) camera.

What is your budget – this is an enormous consideration. After all, there’s no need in getting carried away by the fanciest pink digital camera on the market if you can’t afford it. Regardless of your budget there is likely a camera that will fit into your specific budget. With the steady decrease in the average price for digital cameras over the past several years, prices now range from around $100 to several thousand dollars. Fortunately, even cameras at the low end of the price spectrum can produce fantastic results.

What are some of the features that you can’t live without – features such as image stabilization, macro capability and HD video may be high on your list, so it’s important to cross reference the available cameras with your preferences.

Is Image Stabilization Worth the Investment?

The concept of image stabilization has been heavily marketed toward the point-and-shoot camera crowd over the past several months. For the first time ever it’s now possible to have this feature on cameras below the $500.00 price point, which has captured the attention of consumers looking to improve the quality of their images. It’s true that image stabilization is now affordable for some, but does the technology really live up to its name? The simple answer is yes, though there are some important considerations to be had.

Image stabilization is not meant to prevent blur in all situations. It will not prevent blur from a fast moving subject, since such issues are related to shutter speed and not the capability of the lens. Where image stabilization excels is in its ability to allow the user to snap photos in situations that would otherwise be impossible, such as slow shutter speeds or long telephoto shots. When using a slow shutter speed the camera has to keep the lens open for a longer period in order to capture the image. Because of this there is also a longer period of time for the user to make unintentional movements that can potentially ruin the final image. The image stabilizer system works to correct these movements.

If you would like to improve the quality of your images and increase your chances for photographic success, image stabilization is a must have feature when searching for pink digital cameras. It is a relatively inexpensive option that can turn a bad situation into a positive one with the click of the shutter.

Pink Digital Cameras with HD Video

High definition video is one of a handful of must have features in modern digital point-and-shoot camera systems, yet not all pink digital cameras have this popular feature. Some simple searching online revealed that there are only a handful of pink digital camera options currently available. In no particular order they are as follows –

1. Kodak Easyshare Z1485IS (Pink) – this hot pink digital camera features HD video capability to 720p and also boasts 14MP, image stabilization, manual exposure controls, panorama stitch and a histogram feature – all this for $180.00 through Kodak online.

2. Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX1/P – features HD movie mode (720P) along with a 3-inch touch screen, panorama mode and image stabilization for an MSRP of $379.99

3. Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T90/P – similar to the TX1, but with a less robust IS system - $299.99

4. Canon Powershot SD960 IS (Pink) – HD movie capability with HDMI output, 12MP, face detection, optical image stabilization – MSRP $299.99 for this Canon Pink Digital Camera

My wife bought one of the very first pink digital cameras on the market about 3 years ago, the Panasonic Lumix. It is actually a great pink camera, but the largest factor in her decision was certainly the camera's "pinkness."

yah, it's crazy how some women will sacrifice picture quality in order to get a "pink camera"

You don't have to sacrifice quality, as in most cases, these devices are just the regular ones, but with a different colored case.
