How I Arrived at the Magic List

It’s always a gamble when putting together a “best of” list, since the decisions regarding the best items can typically be somewhat subjective. Recognizing this fact, I’ve decided to base my top 5 pink digital cameras list on pure sales volume data using Amazon. What I’ve done to arrive at my list is to search for the term “pink digital camera” on Amazon. I then took the results and filtered them by the “bestselling” option on the drop down menu provided on their site. By doing this I feel that I have some fairly objective data. It’s not surprising that each of the cameras within the top 5 on Amazon also has a very high user review score, with none falling below an average of 3.5 stars. I learned some interesting things about the different cameras on the list including some of the features that people like and don’t like. I hope that this hub provides you with the information you need should you be in the market for a pink digital camera.

Some Basic Information to Get You Started

There are some things you should always consider when purchasing a digital camera regardless of its color. While the latest shiny new hot pink digital camera may be calling your name, it’s important to take a closer look at the key features it offers in addition to how closely it falls within your budget. Be sure to consider the following points when making your list of must-have cameras:

1.    Consider Your Primary Use – the last thing you want to do is to purchase something that is lacking in features or a camera that is completely overkill for your needs. This will accomplish nothing except to make you frustrated and poorer, or both. Instead, think first about the photos you commonly take. Are the photos casual or highly technical? Do you require the use of interchangeable lenses or would a high quality point and shoot style camera suffice? Chances are that most of the cameras mentioned further down this hub will be sufficient for nearly every reader that lands here; however, it’s important to ask the questions.

2.    Establish a Budget – there is simply no use looking at a bunch of cool products that are way outside of your budget. Ok – it’s fine to look, but from a distance. The reason is that you will end up either getting excited about a camera that you can’t afford or buying a camera that is far too advanced or feature-packed for your needs. If you’re in the market for a pink digital point and shoot camera the good news is that each of the cameras featured within this hub are reasonably priced, with none over the $200 mark.

3.    What Extra Features are Important to you? – By extra features I’m referring to things like HD video, image stabilization, face recognition and a host of other cool functions. Go ahead – make a list and keep it handy when you’re doing your research.
